The vast area of ski resorts, small towns and natural landmarks often referred to as “Niseko” attracts visitors for many different reasons. Danny Geerken, a real estate professional and ski enthusiast, was first drawn to the resort after watching an episode of Anthony Bourdain featuring the famed Rakuichi Soba.

After many subsequent visits, Danny decided to get involved in Niseko real estate, eventually finding what he was looking for in a plot of land at The Soga district of Nisekowhich was far from the hustle and bustle of resort bases like Hirafu and Hanazono.

“Having spent so much time all over Niseko, I had been lucky enough to visit each of the four resorts, but knew I wanted something a little different.”

But the icing on the cake, he explains, “was when I discovered that it was only a 15-minute walk from the famous Rakuichi Soba, featured in this Anthony Bourdain show which first piqued my curiosity!”

Danny now wants to share his love for Soga.

“I wanted to keep the land affordable because I want to share this special place with others. Our plots are located in the middle of farmland, away from the hustle and bustle of the resorts and offer stunning views of Mount Yotei.

“Located between Niseko Village and Annupuri resorts, it is a great location for accessing Niseko United and Moiwa ski resorts in the winter and only a short drive to several golf courses in the summer.

“[And because] access to the bases of the station is only a few minutes by car, the price is very reasonable.
